Oh wow, I haven't been very active lately, have I... I'm still here, but like so many others, I'm way more active over at Tumblr (which isn't saying much since I'm not terribly active there, either...).

I haven't drawn anything in ages, and I'm wondering why that is... I feel like I've kind of lost the joy that I got from drawing before. I don't think it's completely gone, lately I just haven't felt like picking up the pen and drawing something would be terribly fun. Hmmm... I think I need to try some new media or something. Find inspiration somewhere. Try new stuff in general. I'm not ready to quit drawing completely, so don't worry! Art and I just aren't done with each other yet.

Starting this September, I'll be spending a year studying in Japan, at the University of Hokkaido. I'm hoping that'll inspire me at least a little! Of course, once I'm done with everything I need to do for uni this spring (writing my bachelor's thesis, finishing up some courses, that kind of small stuff...), I'll have much more time to spare, so maybe that'll encourage me to draw something over the summer as well.

I dunno, I just feel like I'm struggling with this art thing right now, but I really want it to get better so I shall try to do something about it! Slowly but surely...

...Seriously though, I need some blogs to follow.

I've been meaning to get a Tumblr account for like a year now. I knew I would want to customize the crap out of the thing BUT I also knew I would be too lazy to actually do so. Well, I finally got around to signing up, at least. I also really quickly customized the blog juuuust a little bit. More customization to come when I get over my laziness.

I plan to post a lot of doodles on my Tumblr that I probably won't post here for whatever reason, so if you want to see all the random doodles, you should take a look at it every now and then.

Holy crap, I'm suddenly on summer vacation! All my classes are done done done and all I have left are a few silly essays and exams. I'm so happy!

I'm currently at my parents' place, yay! This place is the perfect place to spend holidays at, it's such a nice place. Sotkamo is such a beautiful town in the summer (winter as well, though) with all its lakes and general prettiness, I love it here. There's a lot to do, too, although most of the time I just loiter around inside the house or out in the yard with our lovely little dog. Minigolf and bowling are a must every summer though, and... what do you call it in English... gravity racing? Driving a motorless car down a hill? I love it. There's a very nice track for it here. My boyfriend has never done it so we've been meaning to go for ages... Maybe this summer's the summer we finally manage to do it! Here's hoping~

Also, I got a job! Wheeee! It's a part-time job but still infinitely better than what I had before (aka nothing). And it's for the whole summer so yay. I still have trouble believing I got the job just by applying... These days it's almost impossible to get a job around here without connections. In any case, it's a fun job at a tiny store that sells accessories and whatnot. It's pretty far from my place, I have to first ride my bike downtown and then take the bus from there. But once the weather gets warmer, I think I'm just going to ride my bike all the way there. I've been trying to lose some extra weight lately (successfully so far! I've changed my diet for good which of course is the most important thing), and riding my bike for about 35 km almost every day would really speed up the progress. Target weight, HERE I COME

In other news, I now have a bit more time to draw due to all my crazy classes ending, yay. I probably won't ever return to the daily doodle thing though, it wasn't very good for me after all. Well, at least I tried it, no regrets! Weekly doodles work much better, so those you shall have! The day of the week for those may vary, but I think I'll manage to do one every week.
